Web-based instruction that may not be offered in the local school or district
Courses taught by online teachers who are highly-qualified and certificated
A one-on-one relationship between teacher and student
A range of courses to meet student needs, from credit retrieval to Advanced Placement
Tremendous flexibility around when and how students work on courses

Differences
