Student Enrollment Instructions:

Prospective students contact the Selah Academy Office (509-698-8060) to obtain registraion materials and to set up an intake meeting with the principal. Once admitted to the Selah Online program, students enroll in courses by contacting the SA Main Office or their SA ALE Advisor (currently the principal). Students take one course at a time until they had proven success as online students. Once they have established that success, they can simultaneously enroll in up to two courses, if approved by the SA principal.

Selah Academy will guide and nurture our students into becoming informed, active, productive citizens who will gain an awareness of the opportunities and benefits of becoming independent life-long learners. We will strongly encourage our students to strive for academic progress, while taking into account that all persons do not necessarily learn at identical rates, and through identical methodologies. Online learning in an alternative learning enviroment/experience (ALE) setting, typically at home, is available for Selah Academy students through online courses from Advanced Academics.

Student-Teacher Contact Requirements

Weekly face-to-face meetings with a local advisor/mentor are required for all students, along with a monthly face-to-face meeting with the student and parent/guardian. Occassionally, due to circumstances beyond a student’s control, we will facilitate a weekly review via text/email. The teachers for the Oklahoma City based program (Advanced Academics) are available online via chatroom, a toll free number, or by email.

Courseware Platform

Selah Academy office personnel and the ALE advisor/mentor can monitor student progress via the Advanced Academics’ “Roads” platform. Parents are also given the option to have a unique username password to monitor their student’s progress.
