Overview
WRAP is a 4 district cooperative serving students from the Enumclaw, Sumner, Orting and White River school districts. Our program is located in Buckley, Washington.
Our teachers are White River Education Association members who are Washington State certified to provide online instruction to students in grades 9-12. We provide traditional core and elective classes in a nontraditional manner through our online learning platform using primarily Apex Learning curriculum. The comprehensive online content is rich with interactivity and actively engages students in learning as they read, listen, discuss, inquire, watch, explore, manipulate objects and data, and write. Courses include formative assessments that provide feedback to students and teachers, and summative assessments that include both open-ended (teacher-scored) and objective (computer-scored) instruments. Our courses are designed to meet Washington State goals through standards-based learning.
Students enroll in online learning for a variety of reasons. Some students take courses in order to complete requirements for graduation, or access courses that may not be available at their resident school, some choose online learning because it allows them to pursue personal talents or travels while remaining on schedule for graduation, some home school students choose online learning to supplement or enrich their curriculum, and some students choose online learning when personal or medical issues prevent their regular attendance at school. Our mission is to provide flexible and rigorous academic experiences to meet the needs of our students through the use of innovative technology paired with skilled and caring instructors and support staff.
