Greenways Academy was founded as an alternative for students whose needs are not being met at traditional schools. Some of our students have difficulty excelling in a traditional school setting because of medical conditions, learning disabilities, psychological issues, or unique scheduling needs. Other students enroll to supplement their school’s curriculum with advanced college preparatory courses or unique electives.
Greenways Academy of Washington is proud of our 17 year history of providing education services to students around the globe and our high completion rate. What sets us apart is our ability to adapt to the ever changing face of education. We stay at the forefront of education with active participation in iNACOL and Advanced Ed.
Our program is for students in grades 5-12 offering core subjects as well as foreign languages, fine arts, computer science, career planning, and other electives. With one-on-one teaching for every course, we get to know our students and utilize the strengths of their personalities and learning styles to ensure their success. The flexibility of our program sets us apart from traditional schools, which often try to make all students conform to a pre-set teaching style – regardless of their learning strengths, weaknesses, or personalities.
The flexibility of our program sets us apart from traditional schools by offering students an educational setting that works with their learning strengths, weaknesses, or personalities.
Greenways Academy is currently using PLATO (Edmentum) course ware as well as APEX and Pearson curriculum. In addition we offer Washington State History from Red Comet. All of these are OSPI approved. We are currently evaluating other OSPI approved courseware and will seek approval to include them in our offering when we get to that point.
