Overview
OnlineHS provides rich & rigorous online curriculum and experienced instructors who are subject matter experts interested in providing personalized and individualized learning experiences for students.
Students can learn at an accelerated pace and earn credits faster then in other fixed and time-bound online programs. OnlineHS utilizes the Blackboard delivery system and delivers district developed courses along with Class.com courseware.
Course Offerings
• OnlineHS offers a comprehensive curriculum in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, PE, Art, Electives & Health.
Additionally, students can earn college credits through College In The High School English courses and work-study credits through online vocational classes.
Curriculum Alignments
All OnlineHS courses are approved by Everett Public Schools curriculum specialists and aligned to Washington State curriculum standards and essential academic learnings.
Accreditation
• As a program of the Everett Public Schools—the 2nd largest school district in Washington State, OnlineHS is accredited through the Washington State chapter of the Association of Educational Service Districts (AESD), a national organization and accreditation agency focused on school improvement and student learning.
Instructor Certification
• OnlineHS instructors all meet the highly qualified requirements of the No Child Left Behind federal education law, and are certified to teach in the State of Washington. Our teachers all hold Bachelors and/or Masters degrees in their subject areas and have over five years of online experience in addition to an average of ten years in the classroom. Our teachers participate in ongoing professional development in both their subject area and online learning/teaching best practices.

• OnlineHS uses the Blackboard Learning Community Engagement portal—the world’s leading learning management system (LMS) utilizing interactivity, social networking and student engagement. It is hosted and maintained by the Everett Public Schools IT department.
