Overview

Aventa Learning by K¹² is part of K12 Inc, and is the nation’s leading provider of proprietary curriculum and online education programs for K-12 students.

Aventa offers 140+ middle and high school courses, including credit recovery courses, and has over 500 highly qualified instructors on staff.

The Aventa curriculum includes high-quality, standards-based online courses for middle and high school. Covering all core subjects, world languages, and electives, Aventa courses
have been crafted based on significant educational findings, such as the highly regarded research of Alan Cohen. Aventa courses feature a rich multimedia format that includes graphics, avatars, Flash simulations, and videos.

Course Offerings

The DLD currently offers Aventa’s AP, standard, and credit recovery level courses in the arts, business, foreign language, mathematics, science, social studies, and technology subject areas.

» English, math, science, and history/social studies for grades 6–12

» 4 academic levels for high school: comprehensive, AP, credit recovery, and foundations (remediation)

» 13 middle school electives and 19 high school electives: Career Planning, Computer Fundamentals, and more

» 6 world languages for high school

Aventa Learning’s mission is to create a world of learners. Aventa Learning provides online classes designed to meet the needs of all students, from at-risk students who have had trouble succeeding in the traditional classroom, to high achieving students seeking classes their schools cannot provide for them. With nearly 140 Online High School and Middle School Courses, including our specially designed Credit Recovery courses, we offer one of the largest available catalogs in 6-12 online education.

Curriculum Alignments

Aventa Learning curriculum offers rich content that has been carefully designed to meet nationally accepted standards applicable for each subject area. Aventa Learning has aligned our courses to standards in each state. Accreditation

Aventa Learning is accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC).

Instructor Certification

Aventa Learning teachers are certified to teach their subject areas at the high school level and meet highly qualified teacher requirements. Aventa Learning teachers serving DLD students are WA certified.

Aventa Learning has a required teacher training and evaluation program to make sure that teachers fully understand and follow best practices in online education. Staff development sessions are conducted periodically throughout the year to enhance teacher effectiveness.

AP Audit

Aventa Learning’s Advanced Placement courses undergo an audit by The College Board on an annual basis. Each of our AP courses have been expressly authorized by The College Board.

Aventa Learning uses the Blackboard learning management system.

THE PERSONALIZED CALENDARS FOR STUDENTS ARE SO MUCH LIES. THERE IS AROUND 6 BILLION ASSIGNMENTS DUE IN ONE WEEK INCLUDING PROJECTS. THAT IS ALL. ITS OKAY BECAUSE I LIVED.
