Student-Teacher Contact Requirements
Fuel Education teachers use an individualized approach to
instruction that builds relationships and motivates students to strive for excellence. Before being assigned a virtual or blended classroom, all FuelEd instructors are required to complete 20 hours of online training. Using the same Learning Management System (LMS) that they will be teaching on, the instructors experience the same environment their online students face while learning skills necessary to teach our curricula. This training covers best practices in online instruction, how to communicate in the virtual environment, as well as skills and tasks associated with the specific platform and tools they will use. Communication is key to the success of any online education program. That’s why FuelEd instructors communicate frequently with their students via e-mail, in threaded online discussion boards, during online sessions, and even on the phone.
Fuel Education uses version 9.1 of the Blackboard Learning management system.
