A SCHOOL WITHOUT WALLS WHERE ALL STUDENTS THRIVE AND EXCEL …. NO EXCEPTIONS, NO EXCUSES
Kent Phoenix Academy Virtual High School is accredited by Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) and is designed to serve resident students in the Kent School District Because we are an affiliate of Advanced Academics we offer a sequential program – a set of High School and Advanced Placement courses that may be taken in a single school term or throughout the school year in a manner that provides a full-time basic education program if so desired by the student. All courses are delivered electronically via the internet. Courses are taught by a teacher primarily from a remote location using online tools. Student access to their teacher is both synchronous and asynchronous. Students may enroll in the program as part-time or full-time students. The also program features online lessons and tools for student and data management.
The Kent Virtual High School is open district-wide to all Kent School District high school students. Teachers are able to provide personalized attention to students and develop greater insight into each student’s individual learning styles and challenges. Courses are delivered through the internet. Finally, course alignment to national and state standards is reviewed by a third party company to ensure accurate and complete alignment.
