Discussion Protocol

In order to have a structured and valuable discussion, this criteria discussion protocol will guide our conversation. DLD Staff or a designate will moderate your discussion session.

  1. Beginning with Section A, review each criterion independently.
  2. The facilitator will note which criteria have a scoring discrepancy or require discussion based on comments. For each criterion requiring discussion, each person will state his or her score out loud when prompted by the facilitator. At this point, reviewers should not provide an explanation or comment, just the score.
  3. Facilitator will read full criterion.
  4. Did anyone give a score of zero?
    • Yes, those who gave a score of zero please read your written comments "as is" (no elaboration) to the group.
      • Those who scored .5 or 1 take turns and share one reason you did not give the criterion a zero (or a .5 if you scored a 1).
      • Provide time for reviewers to update their comments and/or scores as necessary and move to the next criterion. Repeat Steps 1-3.
      • Facilitator will re-read or clarify criterion as necessary.
    • No, move onto Step 5.
  5. Did anyone give a score of .5?
    • Yes, those who gave a score of .5, please read your written comments "as is" (no elaboration) to the group.
      • Those who scored 1, provide one reason you gave the criterion full points.
      • Provide one minute for reviewers to update their comments and/or scores as necessary and move to next criterion. Repeat Steps 1-3.
      • Facilitator will re-read or clarify criterion as necessary.

Repeat this protocol for each criterion until the application is complete.
