Windows or MacIntosh it doesn't really matter. Students work with basic text editors and a browser. On a Windows machine the will use Notepad and Internet Explorer and/or Netscape. Those students using a MacIntosh will use SimpleText and again Internet Explorer and/or Netscape.

Experience with the Internet and solid keyboarding skills are a must.
