Static Electricity Lab Required Materials: � An inflated balloon � A wool sweater, scarf, piece of nylon stocking, or other piece of cloth. � A sheet of tissue paper � Scissors � An empty 12-oz soda can � A full 12-oz soda can � A hard surface, such as a tile kitchen floor ? Electromagnetic Lab Required Materials: � A large iron nail (about 3 inches long) � About 3 feet of thin coated copper wire � About 3 feet of copper wire of a different thickness than your first sample � A fresh D size battery � A pile of metal paper clips ? Endothermic and Exothermic Reactions Lab Required Materials: � Thermometer � Room temperature water � 1 tablespoon of Epsom salts (can be found at a drug store or pharmacy) � 2 medium-sized glass jars or beakers (needs to be clear glass) � A spoon � 1 tablespoon of quick rising dry yeast � 1/4 cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide (the kind you can buy at the store)
