DLD Course Demos

The course demos and materials made available by our course providers can give your students a better understanding of what's expected from them in online learning. Encourage your students to explore these offerings.

You might also consider using a course demo or activity as an in-class exercise to expose students to online courses. Or try out a demo yourself to get a better sense of what's expected of online students.

Advanced Academics provides an overview of all of their online learning options as well as a screencast showcasing their online learning program, their courseware platform and a look into some specific courses.

Apex Learning provides a guided tour of the features found in their online courses and learning management systems.

Aventa Learning provides a screencast showcasing their online learning program, their courseware platform and a look into some specific courses. Via the Online Learning Environment tab, take a look at the Aventa Learning courseware system or click on the Explore Courses tab to see demos of Algebra, Biology and French courses. Click the View Multi-Media Demo button to begin the tour.

DigiPen offers a brief video overview of their courses.

EdOptions Online Academy provides demo access to various units from selected courses. The full-course demos for Geometry and Biology offer a guided tour of the learning platform and content.

Federal Way Internet Academy offers login information to view sample courses from its three grade bands: Elementary, Middle and High Schools.

Giant Campus has included the first sections of two courses for you to explore: Introduction to Entrepreneurship I, and Introduction to C++ Programming. Links to recorded class meetings are not included, but are indicated in the demo where those links would be found in a "real" class. Enter the username ‘dlduser’ and password ‘DLD_us3r’ to login. Username and password are case sensitive.

National Connections Academy provides access to four core subject area, middle and high school courses. They provide access to their Mentor and Student Orientations. Enter the username ‘wdemo’ and password ‘washdemo’ to login.

Spokane Virtual Learning provides access to sample units of their Integrated Math and AP Music History courses and their full student orientation. Log in using "demo" for both the username and password, then click on 'Course Demo'.

Virtual High School lets students follow a virtual student through an online course. Click on Day in the Life, then choose Student. Students can also try a NetCourse demo. When you get the "Access Denied" message, click the Login button and enter "demouser" for both username and password.
