OSPI has developed a model agreement for school districts to use when contracting with multidistrict online school program providers. School districts may, at their discretion, use the provided contract template when engaging a third-party provider to offer the provider's programs to students in the district. Although the template can be downloaded and modified as needed, school districts should seek their own legal counsel before entering into any contract.
The model agreement contract template and instructions are available here:
The model covers a number of topics, including:
- Provider and district responsibilities
- Program management and oversight
- State and federal compliance
- Pricing, invoices, and payment
- Student services
- School records and reporting
