Graduation Planning
See Washington State's four steps to graduation for more details on graduation planning.
STEP 1: High School & Beyond Plan
Talk with your school counselor, principal, advisor, or homeroom teacher about your school's High School and Beyond Plan requirements. You should begin your plan in eighth or ninth grade and work on it through graduation.
- If your school has purchased our Libarary Package, you may access netTrekker d.i. to explore what your goals and your interests as you create your plan.
STEP 2: Credits
Make sure you are on track. Having enough credits to graduate may not make you eligible for admission to a four-year college or prepare you to take college-level classes at a community college. If you have a vision for your future, make sure your lack of the proper high school credits doesn't get you into trouble in the future. Learn more about earning the proper credits to pursue your goals beyond high school.
- Earn credits through DLD Online Courses.
STEP 3: Assessment
You will likely take a statewide assessment test in the 10th grade. If you pass all sections, you are on your way to fulfilling one of your four graduation requirements.
- Review your work and succeed in your online courses with the help of DLD Tutors
- Use the DLD's Mathcasts to help prepare for assessment tests.
STEP 4: Culminating Project
Talk with your school counselor, principal, adviser, or homeroom teacher about your school's Culminating Project requirements. Consider the following DLD resources to support your project and/or to get project ideas.
- Find project ideas with Thinkfinity.
- If your school has purchased our Libarary Package, you may research social issues and current events with SIRS and Facts on File.
